Shamshera Box Office Preview: Screen Count, Runtime, Opening Day & More!
Shamshera marks the return of Ranbir Kapoor to the big screen after a hiatus of 4 years. The Karan Malhotra directional Shamshera is a historical decoit drama set in the 1800s. Besides Ranbir, the movie also stars Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor in pivotal roles. Ever since the release of the trailer, there has been a lot of excitement around this dacoit drama since it features Ranbir as a superior larger-than-life hero for the first time.
Yash Raj Films has put in a lot of effort in marketing Shamshera. The advance booking started a week ago for major multiplexes chains. Shamshera releases on July 22 and here’s our box office preview.

Trade expert Taran Adarsh informed about the run time of Ranbir Kapoor starrer through his Twitter account. Shamshera’s duration is 2 Hours 38 Minutes and 43 Seconds.

Shamshera Screen Count
Shamshera is all set to release on 4350 screens in India with over 12000 shows a day including single screens and multiplexes across the country.
It is released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages. It is the widest Bollywood release post-pandemic surpassing Sooryavanshi, Samrat Prithviraj, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, and 83.

In the overseas markets, Ranbir starrer will premiere on 1200 screens. So, overall, the movie is debuting on 5500+ screens. A massive release.

Shamshera box office opening
As mentioned above, the advance booking for Shamshera started last week. According to early reports, the advance ticket sales for Shamshera seem promising but it is still less than Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Kartik Aaryan starrer touched an advance sale of over 1 lakh tickets while Shamshera manages sales of around 70K tickets. This is the data for the three major national multiplex chains – PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis.
The hype around Ranbir Kapoor’s movie is good. One of the main reasons for average advance ticket sales is that the movie is a mass entertainer. Such movies depend on the pot bookings.
