Arjun Kapoor calls Janhvi ‘Insecure’ and ‘Less Confident’

Arjun Kapoor is often known for being vocal and candid about his relationships, be it with his girlfriend Malaika Arora, or with his family including his father Boney Kapoor and three sisters.

In a recent interview, the Kuttey star revealed that his half-sister Janhvi Kapoor can sometimes be “insecure” in her abilities.

However, he was also quick to add that she is a fearless person who is ready to take risks in life and has never boasted about being famous Indian producer Boney Kapoor’s daughter.

In a video interview with Siddharth Kannan for his film Kuttey, Arjun Kapoor shared his perspective on Janhvi’s career in the entertainment industry so far:

“Janhvi is hungry. She is insecure. She is worried and she has no confidence in her ability.

“She is always seeking what can I do, what can I do? She is very unassuming about whose daughter she is and that is important.

“Her choices are interesting because I think she has come at a time where you have to be fearless.

“She is ready to take chances. There is nothing nicer than an artist willing to take chances.

“At present, she has done Milli, she did Gunjan Saxena, which was a tough film to do.

“She is taking chances and growing, I feel her future is bright.”

He further added: “We both talk a lot. We talk about everything from old Hindi films to the kind of film she wants to do.

“We have a solid equation in terms of talking about work.”

Arjun Kapoor also touched on another important relationship in his life – with his girlfriend, Malaika Arora.

Arjun candidly shared the bond the couple has: “Having a partner who keeps you secure and grounded will reflect in your daily movement and daily thinking.

“She has allowed me to be my own person. I don’t have to change to accommodate her in my life.

“We both fit into each other’s lives very nicely, even though we have a unique relationship from society’s perspective.

“She is the major reason why I can go to sleep being happy and wake up being happy.”

After starring in Kuttey, Arjun Kapoor will next be seen in The Lady Killer followed by the Meri Patni Ka remake.

Janhvi Kapoor will next star in Nitesh Tiwari’s Bawaal alongside Varun Dhawan

She is also reuniting with her Roohi co-star Rajkummar Rao in Mr and Mrs Mahi.
