They must end a millennia-old war between human kingdoms and enchanted creatures in the magical realm of Xadia.
The Dragon Prince premiered on Netflix on September 14, 2018. After that, three more seasons were released, the most recent of which, the fourth, was released on November 3, 2022. The series’ narrative, themes, vocal performances, animation, and humour have all received praise from critics. Therefore, in light of this, the show has been renewed for an additional three seasons.

The Dragon Prince Season 5 Release Date
Four seasons of the animated series have been released so far. The series debuted in 2018 followed by two quick seasons in 2019. After a long break of three years, the fourth season of the series premiered on Nov 3, 2022.

Thankfully, fans won’t have to wait another three years. Though Netflix hasn’t officially confirmed the release date, The Dragon Prince’s creator, Justin Richmond confirmed this time there will be no hiatus, and the show will return to its proper schedule.
There was a five-month break between the first and second seasons and a further nine-month break between the second and third. This means, at the earliest, we could see The Dragon Prince in April 2023. At the latest, we could see the series in August 2023.
The Dragon Prince Season 5 Plot: What will happen in the upcoming season?
The series is expected to continue after the fourth season. Following the basic premise of the half-brother princes Callum and Ezran, as well as the Moonshadow elf Rayla, who must end the thousand-year-old conflict between the human kingdoms and the mystical creatures of the magical realm of Xadia, where all seven primal sources of magic, both light and dark, come from.
How many episodes will be there in The Dragon Prince Season 5?
The Dragon Prince seasons 5, 6, and 7 will also have nine episodes each. The series will cover 63 episodes within the finale series.
Co-creator Aaron Ehasz confirmed in the ‘Zoom Into Xadia’ panel held at Comic-Con 2020 that Netflix gave them the entire saga for the series.

The Dragon Prince Franchise Continues to Expand
The good news for the franchise fans is that it is expanding. Besides the series, the franchise will come with books, comics, and video games. The video game is already in development and is expected to release by the end of 2023.
In an interview with Comicbook, Ehasz said, “There will be game announcements coming relatively soon, and in this period. So, that’s the biggest thing, part of the franchise expanding and growing that we’re ready to bring to The Dragon Prince community soon. Can’t give you too much information now, but that will be the thing with the biggest impact coming in the next period.”
“We do have more comics coming, more books, more board games, all that stuff. We have a lot of stuff in the pipeline right now, for sure,” added Richmond.
How old is Rayla?
She is a trained assassin who is a 17-year-old. She teams up with Callum and Ezran in order to deliver the Dragon Prince back to his mother.
Who is Callum’s father?
On July 15, Sarai gave birth to Callum in the Human Kingdoms, with an unidentified father. After his father passed away and Sarai had been remarried to Harrow, he received the title of a prince.
How old is Callum?
Callum is 4 years, 8 months, and 4 days older than Ezran.
