Samantha Ruth Prabhu admits to ‘Fighting Hard Battles’

Indian actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu reacted as director Rahul Ravindran gifted her a sentimental picture frame and called her a “woman of steel”.

Samantha spoke about “fighting hard battles” and becoming “stronger than ever” in response.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday, December 25, 2022, Samantha posted a picture of Rahul’s gift.

The words, in the yellow and blue photo frame, read:

“Sammy, a woman of steel.”

It then continued:

“The tunnel is dark and there’s no end in sight.

“It was promised, but there’s no sign of the light.

“Your feet are heavy but you drag them with all your might.

“You soldier on while dousing your doubts and the fright.”

The picture frame added:

“You’re made of steel and this conquest is your birthright.

“You keep walking and soon the sun will shine bright.

“You will not be denied and these delays are all right.

“Because quitters don’t, only fighters like you win the fight… Because what doesn’t defeat you, makes you stronger than ever… And stronger forever.”

She shared a picture of herself, on Instagram, sitting on a chair with an IV drip connected to her wrist.

Her caption with the picture read:

“A few months back I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called Myositis.

“I was hoping to share this after it had gone into remission.

“But it is taking a little longer than I hoped.

“I am slowly realising that we don’t always need to put up a strong front.

“Accepting this vulnerability is something that I am still struggling with.”

The last time we saw Samantha was in the action thriller Yashoda when she portrayed a surrogate mother who helped solve a significant medical fraud.

Yashoda is a bilingual film that was shot in both Tamil and Telugu.

Sridevi Movies’ Sivalenka Krishna Prasad is the producer of the movie Yashoda, which was released on November 11 and was directed by Hari and Harish.

Samantha will be seen opposite Vijay Devarakonda in the forthcoming films Khushi, and the mythical drama Shakuntalam.

She will also make her Bollywood debut alongside Ayushmann Khurrana, for which the filming is likely to start by the end of 2022, with a late 2023 release date.
