Jailer OTT release date: The Rajinikanth starrer action comedy will reportedly make its digital premiere in the first week of September.
One of the most anticipated movies of 2023, Rajinikanth’s Jailer debuted in theatres on August 10, 2023. The Nelson directional action comedy is having a glorious run at the global box office. As of August 23, 2023, the movie has collected Rs 550+ Crore globally. While Jailer continues to dominate the global box office, reports of its digital release are now doing the rounds on social media.

As per the reports, Jailer will make its digital debut as per the industry norms despite its mammoth box office success. As per the general pattern, Tamil movies make their digital debut after 28 days of their theatrical release.
Jailer is produced by Sun Pictures. The company also owns a digital streaming service known as Sun Nxt. As per recent reports, Jailer will release on Sun Nxt and global streaming giant Netflix. As per the reports, Netflix bought the rights to the action-thriller for a sum of Rs 100 crore.
According to reports, the makers had closed a 4-week deal with Netflix. Thus, the Rajinikanth starrer will make its digital debut in the first week of September (Most probably on Sep 7, 2023). It will be released in Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu languages. We are still awaiting an official confirmation.

As of August 23, 2023, it has collected Rs 550+ Crore globally, thus becoming the second-highest-grossing Tamil movie of all time, only behind 2.0 (Rs 650+ Crore). Jailer is the second-highest-grossing Indian movie of 2023 after Pathaan (Rs 1050 Crore).
