Ragnarok is a Norwegian fantasy series that first premiered in 2020. It is a contemporary retelling of Norse mythology that is set in the fictitious Norwegian town of Edda, which is plagued by industrial pollution and climate change caused by factories owned by the local Jutul family. The show premiered on Netflix in 2020, and will soon conclude with season three.
Set in the small fictional town of Edda in Hordaland, the series follows socially awkward teenager Magne, who challenges the influential Jutlus family following the death of his friend in an accident.
Shown as if they were reborn versions of ancient Norse deities and colossal creatures, Magne gains the abilities of Thor, the mighty god, while his brother, Laurits, adopts the identity of Loki, the mischievous god. As for the Jutlus family, it turns out they are actually jotunn, mythical beings possessing elemental powers.
What happened in the first two seasons?
In the first season, Magne and Laurits learned to understand and control their newfound powers and abilities. In the second season, Magne teamed up with several people who embody other Norse gods, such as Odin, Freyja, and Tyr.
The third and final season will see Magne and his friends will confront Jutuls and Laurits in one final, epic battle.

A Netflix description of the third and final season reads: “The protagonist Magne must attempt to fight this enemy, but how do you keep your cool and make the right choices when you’re a teenager in love, suddenly armed with the world’s mightiest weapon, while at the same time having to figure out who you are?
“Magne has to weigh every step on his journey from child to adult. As well as navigate the many relations he has finally managed to forge in the small town. But who is — when it all comes down to it — his friend? And who is his enemy?”
There is a lot left as far as the story for season three is concerned. Will Magne be able to save the town from the Jutul family? It is going to be the ultimate battle between Fjor and Magne. With so many questions still unanswered, Ragnarok Season 3 is going to be full of drama and thrill.
