Indian Matchmaking’s Sima Taparia launches Rap Song

Sima Taparia is known for finding life partners for her clients but she has turned to music with a new rap track.

The Indian Matchmaking star has released a song called ‘Shadi ki Tayaree hai’.

The song features guests dancing at a wedding, complete with floral decorations.

A couple is seen getting married and celebrating at their reception.

Meanwhile, Sima sings and raps throughout, showcasing the grand presence that she became known for on Indian Matchmaking.

Sima brought her signature style with the help of auto-tune.

The music video includes a surprising twist when it reveals Sima’s husband Anup, who is also singing and dancing.

The video received over 194,000 views on YouTube and many social media users could not help but draw parallels between Sima’s musical debut and Indian YouTuber Dhinchak Pooja.

One user said: “This rap and tune of the song sounded similar to a combination of Yo Yo Honey Singh and Dhinchak Pooja’s song.”

Another wrote: “Fabulous to watch and listen to.”

A third said: “Sima Aunty I kind of love this ngl, you slayed!!”

However, others mocked the track, calling it “cringe”.

Prior to the launch of the song, Sima Taparia spoke to a group of students at Yale University.

Speaking about the song, she said:

“When Indian Matchmaking became a hit, my voice also became popular.

“My voice has become my asset. My husband, Anup, is my pillar of strength.

“I told him, ‘I want to sing a song’. He has never said no to me for anything. So, we got a musician who wrote the song and composed the music, and I sang it.

“It took one year because we had a lot of teething troubles, but we are now launching it on the auspicious day of Nirjala Ekadashi.

“People have loved the peppy rap song. I wanted to share my creativity with the world.”

Following the conclusion of Indian Matchmaking season three, Sima is now exploring the creative world more.

She is set to launch a new app for singletons on June 16, 2023.

Sima said: “Those who don’t want my input can go directly to the app and find their partner. And, those who want my input can come to me.

“People want me to start other businesses, like a clothing line. I will do more songs. Some movie offers are coming as well.”
