How much did Cristiano Ronaldo’s Jacob & Co Watch Cost?

Cristiano Ronaldo took delivery of a limited-edition Jacob & Co watch and paid a hefty sum.

The Portuguese football icon and the watch brand’s founder Jacob Arabo have been longtime friends.

In addition to being a loyal Jacob & Co customer, Ronaldo has his own line of watches, including the Flight of CR7 and the Heart of CR7 models.

In a video on Instagram, Jacob Arabo personally delivered a new Twin Turbo Furious watch to Ronaldo.

The video shows the brand founder affixing the lavish timepiece to the Al Nassr forward’s wrist.

But how much did the watch cost?

Jacob revealed the eye-watering amount in the caption, writing:

“I was in the neighbourhood so I decided to personally deliver a $1.3 million watch for the one and only Cristiano.”

The Twin Turbo Furious watch is Jacob & Co’s most complicated model to date.

It is a continuation of the original Twin Turbo, which was released in 2016.

The Twin Turbo was recognised as the first watch in the world to combine two triple-axis tourbillons and a minute repeater.

Introduced in 2018, the Twin Turbo Furious goes a step further by having a mono-pusher chronograph and a time difference calculator, which is inspired by racing pit boards.

In keeping with the racing theme, the 50-hour power reserve gauge resembles the dashboard fuel indicator.

Meanwhile, the winding and setting mechanism is inspired by vintage racing cars.

As with all watches in the series, Ronaldo’s example showcases the same level of mechanical complexity as high-performance cars.

Hand-decorated and hand-assembled, the watch is comprised of approximately 832 components.

The tourbillons account for 104 components but it weighs just 1.15 grams.

The massive 57mm case and bezel are 18-karat white gold and set with 344 baguette-cut white diamonds.

Inspired by hypercars, sapphire crystals are specifically curved and fitted to the front and the back.

The grey sapphire-crystal dial features Neoralithe on the periphery, as well as luminescent indices coated in Super-LumiNova and skeletonised hour and minute hands.

Naturally, the watch is very rare, limited to just 18.

Cristiano Ronaldo is ranked as the world’s highest-paid athlete, with an annual income of approximately $136 million.

He is known for having a luxury watch collection.

Ronaldo has previously been spotted wearing a $700,000 Brilliant Flying Tourbillon, a bespoke Girard-Perregaux and the most expensive Rolex ever produced.

In July 2023, he invested an undisclosed amount in the online watch marketplace Chrono24.
