Gadar 2 starring Sunny Deol is now dominating the box office. In mass circuits, the film has performed remarkably well, with both multiplexes and single screens experiencing a full house in every theatre in a very long time. Gadar 2 already has the record for the biggest Independence Day ticket sales of any movie.
In fact, it encountered a capacity issue on August 15 due to supply being significantly outstripped by demand. This blockbuster film has made Rs 284.63 crore in just one week of release, and by the end of its second weekend, it is expected to cross Rs 350 crore in India.

Gadar 2, which was released on August 11, made Rs 40.10 crore net on its first day, followed by Rs 43.08 crore on its second day, Rs 51.70 crore on its third day, Rs 38.70 crore on its fourth day, Rs 55.40 crore on Independence Day, Rs 32.37 crore on its sixth day, and Rs 23.28 crore on its seventh day.

Gadar 2 has started the second week on a terrific note. With around Rs 20 Crore coming on the second Friday, the Sunny Deol actioner has crossed the Rs 300 Crore mark.
Gadar 2 is Sunny’s first film to enter the Rs 100 crore, Rs 200 crore, and Rs 300 crore clubs. In addition, it was Sunny’s highest-earning premiere and Bollywood’s second-biggest of the year, following Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan.
Sunny Deol’s first solo hit in 22 years
Gadar 2 has not only revitalized Sunny Deol’s career and propelled him back to the top league. One more interesting thing to note here is that Gadar 2 is Deol’s first solo hit in 22 years.
Before Gadar 2, Sunny Deol’s last solo hit, Indian, came way back in 2001. It was released in the same year as Gadar: Ek Prem Katha.
After the blockbuster success of “Gadar: Ek Prem Katha” and the subsequent success of “Indian,” Sunny’s career went downfall.
Since 2001, Sunny has been a part of only two successful movies and both starred his brother Bobby Deol – Apne (2007) and Yamla Pagla Deewana (2011).

After Gadar 2, Sunny Deol’s next is Baap. The action film co-stars Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff and Mithun Chakraborty. After Baap his next is Soorya, a remake of the 2018 Malayalam film Joseph.
