Bollywood 200 Crore Club Movies List
Earlier whenever a movie was entered in 100 crore club from movie star to filmmakers everybody was delighted. But with the time things have been changed quite rapidly because of increment in screens around the world and of course star power.
Nowadays, superstars like Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan and Amir Khan have huge fan foll0wing and for them, it’s very easy to enter in 100 crore club. Bollywood film industry saw the new trend of “200 crore club Bollywood movies” when Rajkumar Hirani’s directorial blockbuster 3 Idiots (2009) shatter many records on Box Office. Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, R. Madhavan, and Sharman Joshi still cherish for their parts.
Amir Khan starrer 3 Idiots ended its lifetime sprint at the box office with Rs 202.47 crore. After being released on just 1700 screens, that was quite a big feat. Kareena Kapoor starrer 3 Idiots took 70 days to reach this landmark.
Amir Khan became the first actor to have 200 Crore club movie under his belt which was remarkable. 3 Idiots have set the standard very high and after that, there was not a single film entered in 200 crore club movies. Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger (Rs 198 crore) and Ranbir Kapoor’s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (Rs 188 crore) both were touch close to entering the 200 crore club movies.
