In a recent podcast, Pakistani actor Bilal Qureshi stated that actresses should not wear revealing outfits.
Bilal was asked about when he applauded Dur-e-fishan Saleem for wearing a modest outfit at the Lux Style Awards.
He posted a picture of her outfit from the night on his official Instagram, captioning:

He said: “I like complete dresses more than expensive dresses. There is beauty in staying within limits.”
Bilal Qureshi stressed that modest attire connects with cultural values, blending grace and tradition.
He pointed out that it not only shows one’s own style but also honours and protects cultural customs.
“Some things come to you with birth. You can not change the fact that you were born in Pakistan, in a Muslim household.”
Bilal Qureshi has the opinion that public figures bear a social obligation to the people who look up to them.
Therefore, it is crucial that their actions consistently promote positivity, guiding the youth of the nation towards the right direction.
He mentioned that his fellow actresses were worried about receiving criticism for posting a picture in a bold outfit.
Bilal offered his perspective on the matter, advising them that perhaps they should not have posted it in the first place.
He said:
“You dress that way and then complain that people don’t respect you?”
While it is undoubtedly wrong for people to criticise others for trivial matters, Bilal pointed out that it is inevitable.
He claimed if you are posting something like that, you are calling for criticism.
The actor concluded that respect is not something that can be imposed, but rather something that must be earned.
He enlightened the younger generation that despite receiving compliments, it is not considered appealing when a woman reveals her body.
