Barbie had its world premiere at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on July 9, 2023, followed by the European premiere at Cineworld Leicester Square in London on July 12, 2023.

Barbie is expected to generate a huge $95 million to $110 million from 4,200 North American theatres over the weekend, as reported by Variety.
The Greta Gerwig directional is going to be the top movie at the box office on the coming weekend as its rival Oppenheimer is aiming to collect a solid $50 million from 3,600 cinemas.

Surprisingly, this glossy fantasy drama has received unanimously positive reviews so far. On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, 89% of 98 critics’ reviews are positive, with an average rating of 8.4/10. On Metacritic, which uses a weighted average, the film has a score of 81 out of 100, based on 47 critics, indicating “universal acclaim”.
