Xiaomi officially introduced its latest iteration of MIUI in China on December 28. The latest MIUI 12.5 custom Android skin, which was believed to be an intermediate upgrade, from the features it present, is nothing short of a full-fledged upgrade. The company also confirmed that, and as such, will be presenting the MIUI 12.5 globally on February 8.
Going by the features presented during that Chinese unveiling, MIUI is now faster and more efficient. It makes use of 20% fewer cores and 25% less power consumption. The UI animation has improved, and the number of system apps that can’t be uninstalled has been reduced to nine. You can check the full features of the MIUI 12.5 update via the link.

We expect Xiaomi to kick-start the global MIUI 12.5 beta registration very soon. They’re likely to release the rollout plans and eligible phones after the February 8 presentation. Xiaomi has now announced the MIUI 12.5 globally. The first wave of the update is expected in Q2 of this year, with the Mi 10 series and Mi 11 on the list. The second wave is also expected in Q2, but towards the end. Check the full post here
