Kannada superstar Kichcha Sudeep’s action-adventure fantasy movie Vikrant Rona debuted yesterday in tehatres worldwide amidst a lot of excitement. Released in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi, the movie is off to a good opening at the box office. The Kannada version of the movie recorded big numbers on opening day while for other languages the opening is weak. Here’s a look at the first-day collection of Vikrant Rona in various languages.
Vikrant Rona Box Office Collection Day 1
The fantasy drama recorded big numbers in its original language. In Karnataka, it earned Rs 23+ Crore (Gross) which is the third highest of all time only behind KGF 2 and James.
The Hindi version backed by Salman Khan is off to a poor start. As per early reports, the Hindin version of Vikrant Rona collected around Rs 1 Crore on its opening day. Though this is not a great start but better than recent south movies Beast, Valimai, Vikram, and 777 Charlie.
The Malayam language version earned Rs 1 Crore (Gross). It is the second highest opening for a Kannada movie behind KGF Chapter 2 and ahead of KGF Chapter 1 and 777 Charlie.
In Telugu states, Kichcha Sudeep starrer recorded a decent opening. It collected Rs 2+ Crore from its Telugu version on the first day and will see good growth over the weekend.
In Tamil Nadu, the first-day collection is in the same range as the Telugu states. However, one can expect good growth in numbers over the weekend.
Overseas Box Office Collection Day 1: Rs 3.5 Crore
All Indian Box Office Collection Day 1 (all languages): Rs 31 Crore approx
Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 1: Rs 35 Crore Gross (Second highest for a Kannada after KGF Chapter 2.
Vikrant Rona Budget and Box Office Economics
Vikrant Rona has a budget of Rs 95 Crore. The movie is already in profit through theatrical, digital, music, and satellite rights.
Vikrant Rona should gross 50 Crores distributor share worldwide (expect Hindi) to be called a hit. It means that it needs to collect Rs 100 Crore (Gross) worldwide. Well, after a good opening, achieving this number looks like a cakewalk.
The Hindi version of the movie should cross Rs 20 Crore to be called a hit at the box office. Recently, the Hindi version of south Indian blockbusters like Vikram, Valimai, and 777 Charlie have tanked at the box office.
