Kamal Haasan’s comeback movie Vikram is on a record-breaking streak run at the box office. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the high-octane action-thriller debuted in theatres on June 3, 2022. It has emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters of all time. The movie has already grossed Rs 380 Crore mark at the box office and is still going pretty strong. Vikram OTT Platform and Digital Rights
Reportedly, India’s biggest OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar has acquired the post-theatrical digital streaming rights of Kamal Haasan starrer Vikram. As per the reports, the OTT and satellite rights have been sold for a whopping Rs 98 Crore.
OTT giant Disney+ Hotstar has shelled out a whopping Rs 48 Crore for South Indian languages’ digital rights of the movie. Star Vijay has acquired the satellite rights of the South Indian languages (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam) for Rs 40 Crore. The digital and satellite rights of the Hindi version were sold for Rs 10 Crore.
Vikram OTT Release Date on Disney+ Hotstar
Though there is nothing official yet, our sources have confirmed that Vikram will make its OTT debut on Disney+ Hotstar from July 8, 2022. It will be available to stream in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. There is no update on the digital premiere date of the Hindi dubbed version of the movie.
