Vaishali Takkar commits suicide after Ex-BF ‘Harassed’ Her

TV actress Vaishali Takkar was found dead at her home in Indore, having taken her own life.

Police discovered a suicide note which claimed that she was being harassed by an ex-boyfriend.

She had been living in Indore since 2021.

After discovering Vaishali’s body and the note, Assistant Commissioner of Police M Rahman said:

“Recovered suicide note suggests that she was stressed and was being harassed by a former boyfriend.”

A case was registered at Tejaji Nagar Police Station.

In April 2021, Vaishali got engaged to a Kenya-based dentist named Abhinandan Singh and was supposed to get married in June 2021.

But just a month after the engagement, Vaishali called off the marriage.

While her suicide note alleges harassment from an ex-boyfriend, it is unclear if she was talking about Abhinandan.

Police are working to determine who Vaishali accused of harassment.

Her mobile phone has been taken for analysis while family members are giving statements.

A diary found at Vaishali’s home was also taken as the information inside could reveal the reason for her tragic death.

Vaishali featured in numerous TV shows such as Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Super Sisters and Manmohini 2.

But she was best known for playing Anjali Bharadwaj in Sasural Simar Ka.

Ankush Arora, who worked with Vaishali in Yeh Vaada Raha, was shocked to hear what had happened. He said:

“I have no news about it and I am not in touch with her for a very long time. After Yeh Vaada Raha, we couldn’t keep in touch. It’s very shocking for me.”

Gaurav Wadhwa, who also starred in Super Sisters, said:

“I am very shocked and I am still unable to believe it. I just got a call from Muskaan [Bamne] who’s currently seen in Anupamaa. Who had actually worked together in Super Sisters together. She informed me about it and it is really shocking.”

Speaking about Vaishali Takkar, Gaurav added:

“I haven’t spoken to her family today and I am still processing it. It is very difficult for me to believe.”

“I never thought that something like this would happen. She was full of life and energy and very enthusiastic about her work.

“She would always be looking forward to doing something new and would say if you do something new, you come to Mumbai and I’ll also reach.

“Today, suddenly I have got this news. I can believe this.

“We worked together for one and a half years and were gym buddies also. I don’t know what triggered her.”
