Urfi Javed recalls being 15 when Photo appeared on Porn Site

Urfi Javed opened up about an incident in Lucknow when she was 15.

She revealed that a photograph of her appeared on a porn site.

Speaking to RJ Anmol and Amrita Rao on their channel, Couple of Things, Urfi also revealed how her parents reacted.

The 24-year-old recalled: “I was in Lucknow and I was 15 years old and I wore an off-shoulder top.

“In Lucknow, we never got such clothes back then so I cut (a T-shirt) myself and I made it myself.

“I uploaded the picture on Facebook and someone uploaded that on a porn site.

“It was a tube top, it was nothing bad.”

Urfi went on to say that everyone, including her family, slut-shamed her.

“People really slut shamed me. The entire city, the entire town, my family, they were like what did you wear, it was all your fault.

“Being a girl, you wore this and then you had the audacity to upload it on Facebook.”

When asked how she tackled the situation, Urfi admitted that she did not know how to deal with it.

She continued: “I didn’t know how to tackle it. You don’t know how strong you are until that’s the only option you have.

“Either this or die, I didn’t have the guts to die so I chose this.”

Urfi Javed is known for her daring fashion sense, often turning heads.

Her outfits have included a safety pin dress as well as a bralette and see-through PVC trousers.

Despite being subjected to trolling, Urfi does not pay attention to it.

She also spoke on Denim Day, which takes place on the last Wednesday of April and is observed to spread awareness about sexual violence.

“To be honest, I think it is kind of a bittersweet day because even if people came together to protest it is just that such a day shouldn’t have come in the first place.”

When asked if a patriarchal mindset is still prevalent, Urfi said:

“Yes, of course, our society judges a woman based on her clothes even today.

“My comment section is living proof of the same. Even if I don’t care about them and ignore them it cannot change the fact that it’s there.

“Also, people judge men and women differently when they wear clothes of their choice.

“I mean a guy never gets slut shamed for keeping his buttons open or wearing shorts.”

On how she will mark the day, Urfi added:

“I will be observing Denim Day by doing what I do every day – being myself, wearing what I want to wear, and not caring about anyone else’s opinions.

“I would also like to take this opportunity and tell each and every girl that they don’t ever care about somebody else’s opinions and do whatever you want to do.

“That’s the only way we can bring in a change.”
