Here’s a look at south Indian movies releasing in the fifth week of September 2022. We are going to list both OTT and theatrical releases. Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan: I is the biggest release of the week. The epic period drama will hit the big screens on Sep 30, 2022, in Tamil along with the dubbed versions of Hindi, Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam. Ponniyin Selvan: I is an epic period action film directed by Mani Ratnam and stars big names like Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, and Trisha Aishwarya Lekshmi among others. The film tells the story of the early days of Arulmozhivarman, who later became the great Chola emperor Rajaraja Chola I (947 CE – 1014 CE).

Naane Varuvean

A psychological action thriller movie starring Dhanush and Selvaraghan in lead roles. The story is about a déjà vu effect between two lookalikes.
