Salman Khan & father Salim receive Death Threat

Salman Khan and his father Salim received a death threat, resulting in an FIR being registered against unknown suspects.

The threatening letter was found near the Bandra Bandstand promenade on the morning of June 5, 2022.

According to police, the letter was found by Salim’s security staff on a bench.

A police officer said: “Salim Khan follows a morning routine where he goes for a walk on the promenade accompanied by his security personnel.

“There’s a location where he typically takes a break. A chit had been left behind on a bench.”

The letter was addressed to Salim and Salman and it read:

“Moosa Wale jaisa kar dunga (Will make you like Moose Wala).”

The letter was in reference to Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala who was shot dead by several gunmen in Punjab.

An investigation into the singer’s death is still ongoing.

In relation to the threats made against Salman and Salim Khan, police are now looking into the matter with the help of CCTV footage.

The letter also reportedly featured two sets of initials – GB and LB.

GB suggests Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar, who claimed responsibility for Sidhu’s murder, although nothing has been proven.

Meanwhile, LB may be a reference to Lawrence Bishnoi.

Police are investigating whether the pair were responsible for the letter or if another suspect used those initials.

In addition to checking CCTV footage, police are also speaking to locals.

Following the threatening letter, Salman Khan’s security has been increased by the Maharashtra Home Department.

News agency ANI tweeted: “Maharashtra Home Department strengthens actor Salman Khan’s security after a threat letter was sent to him and his father Salim Khan yesterday, June 5.”
