What is Rocket Boys 2 Release Date on Sony LIV?
Rocket Boys Season 2 will consist of 8 episodes like the first season. Although the exact release date for Rocket Boys season 2 has not been officially announced, SonyLIV revealed on Feb 13, 2023, that the eagerly anticipated second season of its hit series “Rocket Boys” will debut on the streaming platform in March 2023.
Rocket Boys Season 2 Plot
As mentioned earlier, the web series revolves around the extraordinary Indian scientists Dr. Homi J. Bhabha and Dr. Vikram Sarabhai. The story is set around the three important decades (1940-60s) in the history of India. It chronicles India’s journey towards being a strong, brave, and independent nation. It is the story of Independent India’s formative years in the field of science.
Rocket Boys Season 2 will be the origin story of how India became a nuclear power. The focus this time will be on the nuclear bomb test in Pokhran in May 1974, according to the promo shots. Apart from a modest explosion that causes a wave of sand to erupt and crash to the ground, we also get a sight of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, who was in position at the time of the first test.
“Amidst global conflict and enemies charging our borders, India becoming a nuclear nation was the only deterrent to imminent threats of war. Witness the incredible journey of India’s greatest scientists shaping a new era where no one dared to challenge their country’s sovereignty,” the official synopsis reads.
