Mrunal Thakur reveals What she Looks for in Partner

Mrunal Thakur has revealed what she looks for in a partner.

She and Shriya Pilgaonkar will be on Bumble’s series Dating These Nights where they talk about what dating in your 30s is like.

In the episode, Mrunal shared what she is looking for in a partner.

She said: “I think it’s important for my partner to understand where I am coming from, what is going on in my mind and the profession we are in.

“There is so much insecurity around us, so all I need right now is a person who is secure enough to embrace this.

“It’s very rare that you find these kinds of people.

“I call that energy, ‘Vampire’. I don’t want to fall in love, I want to rise in love.”

Shriya then explains that people are conditioned to adhere to society’s outdated beliefs that women have a shelf life.

She said: “Pop culture narrative has sold to us that these are our prime years and you need to have the meet-cute moment, the wind has to blow in your hair and you see them and there’s a dramatic palat.

“If this happens, it’s great! But, it always does not have to be this way.”

Mrunal then admitted her desire to have a baby when Shriya asked:

“Do you feel people in your life are making you feel aware of your ticking biological clock?”

Mrunal responded: “There are times when I feel I want to have a baby.

“But, my mother surprisingly said that even if I want to freeze my eggs or be a single mother, that’s okay.

“And I thought, wow mom, this is amazing.”

Mrunal Thakur previously spoke about her breakup in 2021.

Mrunal revealed that the reason was because she was an actress and he was uncomfortable with her job.

She said: “He ran away.

“He was like, ‘You are too impulsive, I can’t deal with this’, ‘You’re an actress, I can’t deal with this’.”

“But I understand where he is coming from – a very orthodox background.

“And I don’t blame him, I think it’s his upbringing.

“In a way, it’s good that the chapter ended.

“Because in the future, when we raise our kids, his upbringing would not be the same as my upbringing towards my kids… The kids would be like, ‘What is happening’.”
