Debuted in theatres on Sep 30, 2022, Kantara has been the talk of the town since its release. After its grand success in the Kannada language, it debuted in theatres on Oct 14, 2022 (Hindi) and Oct 15, 2022 (Telugu).
The Hindi dubbed version of Kantara is having a great run at the box office. Despite multiple films released over the last few weeks, Kantara remained the first choice in Hindi markets. The total box office collection of the Hindi version after 28 days stands at Rs 70+ Crore.

Kantara has grossed Rs 400 Crore worldwide with more than Rs 120 Crore coming from Kannada.

Kantara to release on Amazon Prime Video
Kantara is produced by Hombale Films, the production studio behind the blockbuster KGF series. Both KGF movies are available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
Now, as per some reports, the satellite and digital rights of the movie were sold well in advance. Reports suggest that Amazon Prime Video has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights of the movie for all languages including Hindi.
Karthik Gowda, the producer of the film, tweeted through his official Twitter handle that the movie is not releasing on OTT any time soon. He wrote, “Wrong News! We will let you know when it is coming but certainly not November 4th.”

Kantara OTT Release Date (Kannada and other regional languages)
Kantara debuted in theatres on Sep 30, 2022. Though fans had to wait long, it is now confirmed that the blockbuster movie will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on Nov 24, 2022. It should be noted that only Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu versions will be released on Nov 24, 2022.
Kantara (Hindi) OTT Release Date
The Hindi dubbed version of Kantara debuted in theatres on Oct 14, 2022. It is having a good run and is expected to play a long inning at the box office just like Arrlu Arjun’s Pushpa.
Usually, most theatrical releases take around 30-45 days to arrive on OTT. However, it is not going to be the case with Kantara. It is still going strong at the box office and is expected to cross the Rs 80 Crore mark soon.
The Kannada and other regional language versions will be out on Prime Video on Nov 24, 2022. We are expecting the Hindi version to premiere on Prime after a gap of two weeks. So, it is highly likely that we will get the Kantara (Hindi) on Prime Video on Dec 7, 2022.

It involves the culture of Kambla and Bhootha Kola. A human and nature conflict where Shiva is the rebel who works against nature. A loop leads to war between villagers and evil forces. Will he be able to replace peace in the village is what forms the crux of the story?
