Jamtara is actually a district in Jharkhand, India. It is a hub of Internet scams and phishing scams in India. Jamtara is the home of banks and insurance organizations frauds that people like us encounter on a regular basis. Every year, millions of people get duped by fake banks and insurance companies agents. Netflix’s crime drama series Jamtara is based on these cases.
The show unveils the unbelievable true story of a group of young men operating a phishing organization. A disagreement led two cousins to end up against each other. They end up being the two heads of the political divide, thus, leading to turmoil. Meanwhile, the Jharkhand police are on a mission to catch hold of the criminals.
The show beautifully highlights the jeopardies of the internet by showing how easily one can lose all hard-earned money. It focuses on how this scam business operates and booms day by day.

Sharing a joke based on the show, which is about two guys who want to run a successful phishing racket, Netflix also wrote, “ALSO, remind us not to give our bank details to callers who claim to have news about the new season. We don’t want to fall for this again”.
Nothing much has been revealed about the second season plot. However, one can expect the story to continue as two cousins battle it out and the police authorities are in charge.
