Iqra Aziz reveals Why she Refuses to Work with Feroze Khan

Iqra Aziz has explained why she will no longer work with Feroze Khan.

The actress claimed she was uncomfortable collaborating with Feroze Khan after his ex-wife Alizeh Sultan accused him of domestic abuse.

Iqra discussed her refusal to act with Feroze Khan during her appearance on The Talk Talk Show with Hassan Choudary.

She said: “For me, it was a very personal decision.

“I did what I thought was right for me and [it was] what I wanted to do, what according to me was the right choice.

“I took a decision — I wasn’t comfortable working with him, so I said no.

“I wasn’t waiting for anything to be proved to take action because before that, there was a span of time in which we had to work together and I wasn’t comfortable so I said no.”

The presenter summed up her argument by noting that, in the end, an actor should be free to refuse a project if they don’t feel comfortable doing so.

Iqra was keen to agree with the presenter and replied: “Of course!”

She further stated that everyone has the right to decide how they want to work, and who they want to collaborate with.

Iqra Aziz added: “I think that we live in an era where, whether it’s a woman or a man, working in this industry or anywhere, other than the choice of career, they have the right to say yes or no to however they want to work according to their comfort level and to who they’re comfortable working with.”

Hassan then questioned her about if her perspective would change if the accusations were later proven untrue in court.

The Pakistani actress replied: “I think we have to wait for that time then.

“We can only decide that then, we can’t decide before time thinking what if this happens, just based on assumptions.”

Iqra interrupted the host’s attempts to delve deeper into the situation with an uneasy laugh and advised him to stop there rather than go too far.

Alizeh Sultan, Feroze Khan’s ex-wife, provided photographs of her injuries and emergency care records as evidence of abuse at a Karachi family court in late October 2022.

Soon after, Iqra made a public statement in support of Alizeh Sultan and anyone who has experienced domestic abuse.

She declared that she would no longer work with Feroze Khan.
