Fauda is a popular Israeli television series created by Lior Raz and Avi Issacharoff based on their military experiences. It depicts the “two-sided story of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. An undercover Israeli operative returns from retirement to hunt for a Palestinian militant he thought he’d killed, setting a chaotic chain of events into motion.”

The show debuted in Israel on February 15, 2015, followed by three more seasons, released in 2017, 2019 and 2022. Netflix acquired the international streaming rights of the series. Fauda debuted on Netflix in 2016, with subsequent seasons coming every two years after that in 2018 and 2020. As of now, three seasons of the show are available on Netflix.

Fauda continues to be one of the most critically regarded Netflix series, with a rapidly growing American fan following. Therefore, the news that Fauda would be back for a fourth season has sent the fans into a frenzy. The fourth season of Fauda has already aired in Israel on Yes Oh from July 13, 2022, to Sep 28, 2022. So, when will Fauda Season 4 premiere on Netflix? What the upcoming season has in store? Fauda Season 4 Release Date

Fauda has amassed enormous popularity and grown to become one of Israel’s largest dramas worldwide and the longest-running action series. Despite being a Netflix Original in most territories, the renewal of Fauda is not down to Netflix. The series is primarily distributed by the Israeli TV network YES, with Netflix owning the global distribution.

On September 14th, 2020, we finally got the confirmation via the official Facebook page that Fauda would be returning for the fourth season. In a post they said, “The news we’ve all been waiting for! Fauda will be back for Season 4! See you all soon!”.

Fauda Season 4 aired in Israel on Yes Oh between July 13, 2022, to Sep 28, 2022. It will premiere on Netflix internationally in January 2023. Though Netflix hasn’t disclosed the exact premiere date, according to Ynet news, it is Jan 20, 2023.

Fauda Season 4 Plot

The plot of the new season involves Hezbollah activists from Lebanon and Palestinian militants in the West Bank.

Following the events of the previous season, Doron (Lior Raz) is angry and frustrated over being kicked out of the group, as well as guilty over the death of his teammate. To help Doron, Captain Ayub (Itzik Cohen) recruits him for a straightforward security task in Brussels. Doron goes to a meeting with a young Lebanese source named Omar Tawalbe (Boutrous) with Ayub in the European city.

Omar, originally from Jenin, is the son of a senior CI for Ayub, who helped the Shin Bet kill a few Islamic Jihad leaders during the battle of Jenin in 2002. When his father was declared as a traitor and informant, Ayub had to drag the family from Jenin and move them to Ramla.

Although Ayub sustained the family for years, Omar never found his place in Israel and moved to Lebanon in his 20s. His sister Maya (Ayoub), on the other hand, was incorporated into Israeli society and became an officer in the Israeli Police.

The meeting in Brussels doesn’t go as intended, and Doron finds himself in direct conflict with a terrorist unit. The hunt will take Doron and the team from Brussels to the depths of Lebanon, on the most dangerous mission they have ever faced.

Like the previous three seasons, Season 4 of Fauda has 12 episodes.
