Sharmaji Namkeen on Amazon Prime Video

Sharmaji Namkeen is the last movie of the late Rishi Kapoor.  It is said to be a tribute to the legendary actor who breathed last on April 30, 2020. The movie follows Brij Gopal Sharma’s life after retirement. He doesn’t want to be idle and wants to start something fresh. When he begins to pursue his passion for cooking and attends kitty parties, he is met with severe opposition from both his son and society. After Kapoor’s death, Paresh Rawal finished the role. Sharmaji Namkeen is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Kaun Pravin Tambe? on Disney+ Hotstar

Directed by Jayprad Desai, Kaun Pravin Tambe? is a biographical sports drama movie based on the life of Indian cricketer Pravin Tambe. The movie showcases Shreyas Talpade as a promising cricketer who is just concerned about the game, with a job and marriage coming after. Amidst a lot of struggles, Table finally makes his debut in IPL at the age of 41.

Bheeshma Parvam on Disney+ Hotstar

Bheeshma Parvam starring Mammootty in the lead role debuted in cinemas on March 3, 2022, and went on to become of the biggest hits of Malayalam cinema.

The movie stars Mammootty as a gangster Michael who helms his ancestral family in Kochi and has respect and reputation in society. However, things take a drastic turn when a few younger members in the household feel his power over their lives is too irritating, they join hands with enemies to clamp down on him.

Drive My Car on Mubi 

Drive My Car is one of the hottest OTT releases of this week. Released in 2021, this Japanese road-drama movie is based on Haruki Murakami’s short story of the same name from his 2014 collection Men Without Women. The movie also draws inspiration from Murakami’s other stories.

Drive My Car was one of the best movies of 2021 as it received four nominations at the 94th Academy Awards including the Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Adapted Screenplay and winning Best International Feature Film.

The movie is streaming on Mubi in Japanese, Indonesian, English, Tagalog, Mandarin, German and Korean.

Radhe Shyam on Amazon Prime Video

The last movie on this list is superstar Prabhas’ romantic saga Radhe Shyam which debuted in theatres on March 11, 2022. The romantic drama is set in Europe in the 1970s. It tells the story of Vikramaditya (Prabhas), a palmist who is conflicted between destiny and his love for Prerana (Pooja Hegde). It is streaming on Amazon Prime Video in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
