Soon after the first season, Netflix dropped the second season in 2020. It’s been more than two years since the second season dropped and fans are getting restless less. Well, there is some good news and bad news for fans out there. The bad news is that the third season of Dead to Me is not coming to Netflix in September. Netflix has already revealed the list of shows and movies coming next month (Sep). Dead to Me isn’t on the list. However, fans should not get disappointed as the new season will release on Netflix in fall 2022.
The black comedy series was renewed for the third season in July 2020. It was planned to release in 2021 only. However, due to the pandemic, the filming got delayed multiple times. The filming finally started in May 2021 and wrapped up in April 2022.
Considering that the first two seasons debuted in the month of May, fans were expecting the third season to release in May 2022. However, that didn’t happen. In May 2022, the streaming giant officially announced that the third and final season will be released in fall 2022.
Latest update on Dead to Me Season 3
The creator of the show, Liz Feldman, shared the news on her Instagram account about the filming being wrapped up in April 2022. So, it seems that the final season is in pre-production and is all set to premiere this fall. Fall 2022 release means Netflix can drop the next season anytime between September to December.
