Bollywood Stars say Goodbye to 2021

As the year 2021 comes to an end, Bollywood stars took to their respective social media handles to bid farewell to the year gone by.

Many Bollywood stars also shared the lessons they learned throughout 2021, as well as their highlights from the year.

Rhea Chakraborty looked back at her journey in 2021 and called it a “year full of healing” and pain.

The actress posted a picture on Instagram, where she smiled widely at the camera.

In the caption, she wrote a heartfelt note which read:

“You see me smiling and laughing, it’s not been easy to get here.

“A year full of healing, a year full of pain.

“But here I am, smiling and looking at you 2021 – because indeed what doesn’t break you makes you stronger!

“Have a wonderful New Year’s Eve with your loved ones, may 2022 be kind to all of us. Love and light.”

In 2020, Rhea Chakraborty made headlines after she was accused by Sushant Singh Rajput’s family of abetment to suicide.

The actress was also accused of stealing money from the late actor.

Kareena Kapoor also took to social media to commemorate 2021.

Kareena, who is married to Saif Ali Khan, posted a picture of her younger son Jehangir.

In the caption, Kareena wrote: “His two teeth, the best part of 2021 #31est December #Mera Beta# Blessed New year all.”

The actress, who recently recovered from Covid-19 after testing positive on December 14, 2021, also posted a selfie on her Instagram Story.

Alongside the selfie, Kareena wrote: “Told you pyjamas, lipstick and pout were a thing… New Year’s eve ready.”

Actress and new mum Dia Mirza thanked the year for making her a mother and revealed that she almost died.

The Bollywood star posted a video collage featuring moments from 2021.

Alongside the video clip, Dia wrote: “Thank you #2021 for making me a mother.

“It was a year filled with incredible joy, a near-death experience, the early birth of our son and some very testing times.

“But the lessons are well learnt and the gratitude runs deep.

“The biggest learning – the toughest times don’t last. Breathe. Witness. Surrender. And be grateful. Every single day.”

Dia’s baby was born prematurely on May 15, 2021, via an emergency C-section and was in a neonatal ICU.

Parineeti Chopra credited 2021 for bolstering her belief in picking subjects for films that are ahead of the curve.

The actress said: “It’s a year filled with gratitude for me.

“2021 was the year I had been waiting for, having taken the biggest plunge of my career in the form of Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, The Girl on the Train and Saina and thankfully, each one of them paid off.”

Parineeti added: “2021 made me realise that audiences expect me to be clutter-breaking and I couldn’t agree with them more.

“I am more thankful to them for showering me with all the love for my performances.”

Praying for a better tomorrow, Shilpa Shetty bid farewell to 2021.

On her Instagram Story, the actress wrote: “There were smiles, tears, laughter, hugs, goodbyes, and a lot more. But, we sailed through.

“With a prayer for a better tomorrow, it’s time to bid adieu to you.”

“We’re ready for you, 2022! Please be nice. Happy New Year’s Eve!”

Shilpa recently returned to work amid her husband Raj Kundra’s porn case controversy.

Kunal Kemmu proved that the grind never stops and began the last day of 2021 by hitting the gym.

Taking to Instagram, the actor shared a picture of himself and wrote: “Worked out and worked out our way through 2021… A lot to be grateful for and a lot to be thankful for.

“But I got my eyes on 2022 now. Here is wishing everyone a blessed year to come.”

Newly-wed Katrina Kaif also spent her New Year’s Eve at the gym with her trainer Yasmin Karachiwalla.

The Bollywood actress, who recently wed Vicky Kaushal, shared a glimpse of her workout routine to her Instagram Story.

Katrina could be seen doing crunches on a Pilates reformer.

As 2021 comes to an end, Bollywood star Malaika Arora posted an adorable video filled with various memories throughout the year.

Taking to her Instagram handle, Malaika posted a Reel featuring pictures from a range of events and occasions.

The video included a picture of the actress getting vaccinated against Covid-19, a picture with her boyfriend Arjun Kapoor as well as snaps from workout sessions and holidays.

The actress also shared a picture of her and Arjun in which they both pouted.
