Anushka Sharma Celebrates as Virat Kohli roars back to Form

Anushka was spotted cheering.

Former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli bounced back to form in style with a patient half-century in the IPL 2022 game against Gujarat Titans.

While it was a huge relief for Kohli, who headed into the game on the back of a string of low scores, it was his wife Anushka Sharma’s reaction that went viral all over social media.

Kohli laced six boundaries and solitary six in his 53-ball 58 as RCB revived from the early dismissal of their skipper Faf du Plessis for a three-ball duck.

This was Kohli’s first fifty-plus score this season and first in IPL in 15 innings.

As Kohli reached the mark in his 45th ball in the innings, Anushka Sharma was spotted cheering for the former India skipper.

Kohli headed into the game on the back of a poor run of form which included four single-digit scores in his last five innings which also includes two consecutive golden duck dismissals.

The form left most veteran cricketers concerned as many urged the 33-year-old to take a rest and opt-out of the remainder of IPL 2022.

Former India head coach Ravi Shastri had opined that Kohli has been “overcooked”, after his second golden duck this season.

However, on returning to his familiar position, as an opener, Kohli managed to bounce back to form in style as RCB finished with 170 for six in 20 overs.

Kohli was ably supported by Rajat Patidar, who as well scored his half-century and stitched a century stand alongside him.

Ex-India cricketer Vivek Razdan, who was a part of the commentary panel during India’s tour of the West Indies, recently revealed details which tell us more about Virat and Anushka’s down to earth nature.

While travelling with the Indian cricket team captain and head coach have two seats reserved in business class.

However, according to Vivek, Virat Kohli never travelled in business class as he used to sit with the team in economy class.

In an interview with Sportskeed Vivek said: “In a flight, two seats are reserved in business class – one for the captain and one for the coach.

“But I have never seen Virat Kohli travel in business class during a flight.

“He always prefers to be with his teammates in the economy class.”

He added: “Apart from the coach, there was always a bowler occupying one of the business class seats.

“It was either Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami or, sometimes, Ravichandran Ashwin.
