There will be no new episodes of 1923 for four weeks. Episode 4 arrived on Paramount+ on Jan 8, 2023. The show is taking a month-long break. The fifth episode will arrive on Paramount+ on Feb 5, 2023, at 12 AM PT / 3 AM ET.

The reason for the hiatus is unknown. Yellowstone shows are known to take a mid-season break and it does look like a mid-season hiatus for 192 Season 1. Season 1 of 1923 has eight episodes in total, so episode 5 will start the second half of the season.
Like 1923, Yellowstone Season 5 is also on a mid-season break. However, for Yellowstone, this break is a big one as it is expected to return in the Summer of 2023.
